
Julián Gómez-Delgado is a Ph.D. Student in Sociology and Historical Studies at The New School for Social Research, where he studies how capitalist development, social conflict, popular politics, and state formation are related and played out in Cold War Latin America, with a particular focus in Colombia. He takes an interdisciplinary approach and integrates social theory, political economy, and the history of the social sciences in his research work.
He holds an M.A in Social Science with a specialization in Sociology from El Colegio de México. He earned his Bachelors degree in Sociology from Universidad Javeriana and in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia
