
Josephine D Baker is an Economics PhD student at the New School for Social Research and Heilbroner Center Graduate Fellow for 2021-2022. She is interested in Classical Political Economy, Complexity, and Comparative Systems. Her research broadly looks at the role of knowledge in the economy, including the commodification of knowledge, information commodities, and intellectual property rights and rents. Her current projects include a critique of Hayek’s conceptualization of knowledge, and a study of price-value relationships in information sectors.
